While you can elope in a state park like Gooseberry Falls, sometimes you don’t want the gathering to end just yet. This is why I created this list of the best northern Minnesota elopement locations on AirBnB.
Now remember – if you’re having a party of any kind, you’ll want to disclose your plans to your host. But after they’ve approved their ideas, you’ll be able to bring their space and their unique opportunities to life.
Whether you’re having the ceremony at the AirBnB or just the cake, here are the best AirBnB’s for elopements in Minnesota.

Timber Frame Home
Did you know that those in the northwoods love their saunas? Though this Timber Frame home is located on the Wisconsin side, it’s a serious contender on this list. Just 20 miles from downtown Duluth, this incredible stay can host up to 20 guests. You also have your own trail right down to the shore of Lake Superior, boasting a beach that’s perfect for vows.
Spider Lake Cabin
Another Wisconsin cabin sneaks onto this list, but at 5000 square feet, it earned its space. With a stone fireplace, whirlpool, and private dock, you can host every part of your wedding day in a different area in the house and on the property. And what’s better than a quiet evening sunset on a dock?

Urban
Bailey Builds Makers Loft
The Baileys have created multiple spaces that bring lift to the Duluth experience. While you wouldn’t have space in the Makers Loft to host a small event, just downstairs from this stay is the Bailey Builds Gallery. Hosting groups up to the 25, their space would make for a perfect location to host an intimate event or elopement (and Jasmine and Andrews Bailey Builds Gallery Wedding proves it!). You could have your champagne and ceremony, and then just a few steps later be relaxing in a hammock.
Blacklist Canal Park Condo
A gorgeous space for sleeping up to 7, the upstairs has 270 degree views of Duluth and Lake Superior. Utilize the main room with the fireplace for your ceremony, or take a short walk to the beaches of Lake Superior for outdoor vows. At this condo, there’s a space for everything (and convenience is close by).
Downtown Duluth Loft
This 4000 square foot downtown loft is perfect for the couple who wants to elope with friends and still throw a party. Featuring a hot tub and pool table, you can step out the front door and directly into the downtown Duluth nightlife. But being only a short walk away from the lake and beach, you can still find that outdoor oasis.
“By the Lake” Park Point
You’ll be amazed at why this rental gets a classification as urban. With sprawling sunset views and just steps from the water, this Park Point beach house would seemingly get the rural classification. But that’s the key – this home is conveniently located on Park Point, just minutes from the bustle of Canal Park in Duluth.
Say your vows barefoot in the sand, and then host your small gathering on their sprawling patio with a view of the water. You’ll make all your beach wedding dreams come true, right here in northern Minnesota.
Lake Superior Beach House
Our last property is yet another seemingly rural but actually urban oasis. This property is also conveniently located on Park Point – and this one is a short few minutes walk to the Aerial Lift Bridge! Meaning you are just minutes away from ships, sightseeing, and every dinner you could ever want.
On its own, this house is modern, bright, and features a beautiful outdoor patio. You can watch the colors sink over Lake Superior – set up a beautiful table with florals and dessert, and you’ve got an evening made.
