CANDID WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | INTIMATE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | MINNEAPOLIS / ST PAUL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Lara and Peter wanted a day of nothing but celebrating their people. They designed their day around special moments in their lives together – namely, a reception and dinner at W.A. Frost, the location of their first date.
Peter got dressed at the home of family. Lara got dressed at home, with the pups. They had an intimate ceremony at Irvine Park, which was a beautiful and meaningful start to their marriage. They wanted to focus on the most important parts of their relationship and their commitment to each other.
As I witnessed all the parts of their day and the way the people interacted, I couldn’t help but be in awe of the simplicity and honesty that radiated from the couple. There was no need for extravagant decorations or flashy displays – the love between them was enough. It was all that mattered.
After the ceremony, they enjoyed a cozy dinner at W.A. Frost, surrounded by candlelight and the stunning architecture of the historic neighborhood. It was a perfect setting for their celebration of love.
In a world filled with grand gestures and over-the-top displays, it’s easy to overlook the beauty of the simple, everyday moments. But as a documentary photographer, I am constantly reminded of the power and importance of capturing these candid, natural moments. They may not be flashy or loud, but they are the moments that truly matter – the moments that speak volumes about who we are and what we hold dear.
Peter and Lara’s intimate reception at W.A. Frost was a testament to the beauty of simplicity and the power of love. And as I looked through the photos of their event, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of such a meaningful and honest celebration.
