This is our manifesto:
to create your OWN version of your grandparent's dusty old mantle photograph.
Your photographs aren't just for the now. It's for the 5 years from now, the 50 years from now. Your legacy will exist without images - but imagine how much more tangible your legacy would feel with them.

I won't give you fluffy language about this being your "best day ever!" and I won't force you or coerce you into feeling or looking a certain way.

There's nothing that's better than having your photo and video team perfectly in sync about what's important at a wedding - people. My team has trained and worked together for years, and they are truly the most talented people I know. It's easy to plan knowing that you can hire one company to handle all of your artful images and films, and we can be those people for you.

Absolutely YES!
Family and friend portraits are important too - they show who was there that day, in a straightforward way. While we believe in the important of "personality" images and real, as-is storytelling, we'll always say yes to requests for formal/smiling at the camera portraits.
We're masters of making any family/friend images go by quickly - often just taking a few minutes of the day and moving on back to the party.

Great question! This can vary greatly on if you have multiple locations you'll be visiting throughout the day, as well as other factors such as guest count and number of family/friend portrait inclusions. If you have early details in place, we can talk more about your event specifically in a consultation.
Collections can also be modified at any time - I always recommend to couples that they start with the bare minimum they know they need, and then we can always add on more time during our planning process.

With friends, family, peers, and connections all across the midwest, I frequently photograph marriages in the Duluth, MSP Metro, Madison, and greater Chicago areas. I've been lucky enough to photograph sessions and events from coast to coast, and created a travel radius to make it happen for you!

Of course, yes!
For privacy reasons I don't have public access on this website to private events, but in response to your inquiry I'll happily provide galleries that would be similar to your venue, lighting situation, location, etc. Then you can see how all of the images tell incredibly emotional stories, alongside a handful of formal portraits as well.

Probably! In the past, I've made a lot of accommodations for specific situations. Here's a few things I've worked with couples on in the past and provided custom quotes or modifications:
* Black and white editing only (no color images)
* No Editing
* Splitting coverage over multiple days
* Last minute elopements and event changes
* Full internet privacy
These requests are on a case by case basis, but most things can be accommodated in some way!
