Sometimes you meet a couple for the first time and you realize they just make sense.

Everything about their event seems to be just screaming who they are, and that would be this one. Angel contacted me a mere 6 days before their event. They were having a backyard wedding because they decided it was “just time”.

Her and Jacob said that what started as an elopement turned into 2 people coming, then 12, then 20, and soon enough they were having the most quaint little backyard celebration ever. So quaint, that when somebody that was supposed to come wasn’t there yet, they just waited.

They waited an extra 30 minutes to start the ceremony. So. Chill.

And beyond that, every single person I talked to was excited to be there. Truly believed this was meant for the couple. Was so full of laughter and happiness that it was infectious. They were barefoot and comfortable, but still looked absolutely amazing. And the light may have been bright (it was 11:30am after all) but it just filled the ceremony space with love. And there was a dog, and a boat, and some incredible kisses.

It needed nothing more.

If this couple were a flavor of ice cream, they’d be a homemade, slow churned, vanilla drizzled with whatever your favorite toppings were. Because this wedding is your great-grandmother’s wedding ring and a dog named Pork Chop and fitting all of your guests into one photograph.

And nothing was meant to be different.
