Maddie and Cam just wanted to party.

We knew from the start that we’d be a great fit. They didn’t want to spend forever doing portraits at their wedding, and neither did I. We both wanted to focus on their people, their friends, their family, and creating images that looked like their experience.

From the twerk circles (and prayer circles) during getting ready, to the crazy dancefloor, to the sparklers and cigars, Maddie and Cam designed a day that would thrill them. But it was also filled with more tender moments too – Maddie lost her father in the previous year, and his presence was felt this day.

Moments to look for? Getting ready dance and prayer circles. Betty (the pup) seeing her parents that day. Maddie glancing back at her dads chair at the altar. Intimate ceremony glances (and ring admiration). Couch cozy speeches. A couple minutes of sunset alone. A banging dance floor. Sparklers, twirls, kisses, and then celebratory cigars.
