NORTH SHORE ELOPEMENT | DULUTH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
“She let the two of us simply hang out and soak in our wedding day together.”
What Abby wrote in a review this week really hit home for what I believe to be the most important thing on a wedding or elopement day – getting to be present. Getting to live in the feelings, and the experiences. To see your people, and actually spend time with them.
Abby + Kolt simply wanted to be seen for who they are.
What started as a plan for Gooseberry Falls was suddenly derailed by a 40% chance of rain. Shifting the plans to the AirBnB they rented the night before, there was no more swift of backup plan ever implemented. Considering the rain that started in the middle of the ceremony – it really didn’t detract from any experience that day. Umbrellas came out, but the smiles stayed in place too.
A bell ringing right after the ceremony, running into the house to celebrate, shots, whisky, walking on lava rocks near Lake Superior in the fall. This day became everything they wanted, and only that. Spending time on the North Shore for their elopement.
