Ruby knew what she wanted from the start.

An avid lover of animals and the outdoors, Ruby knew she wanted the outdoors for her session – and with a special love for marine biology, it had to be water.

She traveled from the Twin Cities area up to Duluth for her session because Lake Superior was going to be the closest thing to the ocean possible.

And boy, was it perfect.

We played and explored and just hung out on the beach of Lake Superior, moved throughout the trees, and found little pockets of light. (And this date was a reschedule – how lucky were we?!)

When it was all said and done, Ruby felt like these photos were HER. Exactly her. And it was such an honor to create them.
